We are going to:

6 Nights - Oahu - Hilton Hawaiian Village - Ali'i Tower

6 nights - Maui - Hyatt Regency

I can't wait! FH and I wanted to go somewhere more urban and crowded so we could party and then spend the 2nd half of our honeymoon relaxing

We leave April 4th for:

4 nights in Oahu- Hyatt Regency

6 nights in Maui- Hyatt Regency

We are going to be there the same time! I heard such good things about the Hyatts!!!

My cousin is our travel agent and she higly recommended The Hyatt so we booked them for both Islands. Plus, I went on their website and I was so impressed.

I totally love their website too!!!! I am so excited to go to Hawaii!!!! My sister lived in Oahu for awhile and she said that it is a lot of fun. A girl I work with stayed next to the Hyatt in Maui (she stayed at the Westin) and she said the Hotel is amazing!

Re: We need a HONEYMOON chat section! Anyone for Hawaii?

So question for all you girls... should we start the honeymoon off in Kauia, followed by maui and then oahu? I figure since Kauia is quieter, it might be nice to unwind after the wedding. I think we're going to do 3 nights in Kuaia (however you spell it), 3 nights in Maui and then 6 nights in Oahu. I'm so excited i can't wait. Anyone have any dinner recommendations (cheap & expensive)?

Yes - I def. recommend starting the honeymoon off in Kauai. It is so relaxing and beautiful. It's perfect to un-wind there for a couple of days after the wedding. We did 5 nights there and then 6 in Maui (Hyatt on both islands) - The whole trip was amazing!

This is actually a great idea!! I'm looking into going to Hawaii and love all the feedback. We are getting married in September and I think we are going to wait until November to book - I feel like all the deals come out later in the year...any thoughts on when we should book?

Thanks!!

Re: We need a HONEYMOON chat section! Anyone for Hawaii?

I just came back!

We absolutely loved maui, actually a little better than kauai!

In maui, we weren't staying where most of the hotels were. We were staying in south maui, called waiela beaches are very quiet and secluded and there were not a lot of hotels. We stayed at the fairmont. it was incredible! A wonderful hotel! There's a lot to do in Maui but also alot of relaxing as well!

Here was my deal with kauai. For us, I think we picked the wrong the resort to stay at. We stayed at the grand hyatt. It was definitely nice, but I thought very overdone, it reminded me of being on a cruise. Also the beach at the hotel was so rough that you couldn't go in the ocean. I guess when you go during the summer the south is really rough, but the north is calmer. We did take a trip up to the north and the beaches were just incredible. I think if we would have stayed up there.

But, really you can't go wrong with both. I would go back to either anytime!

We did do the Halekala bike ride at sunrise. Use caution!!! Its scary, you are going down these hair pin turns at 20 miles an hour, with oh yea an 8,000 foot drop to your right and on-coming cars are going up the mountain. The sights are incredible but I was concentrating so hard that I missed alot of them. I guess you can say I'm not the best biker, since I hadn't done it in 15 years!!!!

Are there any all inclusive resorts in Hawaii?

I was told by a few travel agents that there are no all inclusives in Hawaii (we were looking too). I did, however, come across one resort that does include meals and activities....it was on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was called Kona Village.

We're actually spending the last 4 nights of our Honeymoon there. It's awesome, you stay in individual thatched cottages, and there are no tv's or telephones or clocks. Totally relaxing but very

In a little over 3 weeks we're going to:
Oahu for 1 night (just to see Pearl Harbor)
Kauai for 4 nights at the Hyatt
Maui for 6 nights at the Grand Wailea
Big Island for 4 nights at The Kona Village

We are doing the opposite - Maui first to relax after all the wedding craziness and then to Oahu to have some fun once we recoup our energy

Re: We need a HONEYMOON chat section! Anyone for Hawaii?

We absolutely LOVED maui!!!!!!! We went to Maui for a week and Oahu for a week. We didn't want to leave Maui at all and when we went to Oahu... we wished we were back in Maui! We could have skipped Oahu.

Definitely 100% go there! It's so beautiful!
