He LIED on his resume!!!! The media keeps saying he "padded" it but the gist of the matter is that he LIED!!!!

I was watching the press conference while I was working out at the gym. I don't think that this is going to have a happy ending. Who knew that they don't check references when you get a job with the Federal government.

It should go higher though.
Anyway, what happened to Rover and the whole Plame case?

actually I work for the Federal Government. I had to wait SEVEN months for them to do my clearance. they interviewed my prior employers (and when I say interview, I don't mean a telephone call- I mean federal agents showing up unannounced at your door asking pointed questions), my family, my neighbors, anyone. they even sometimes ask random people in your neighborhood if they know you, so they can get the opinion of someone you didn't put down on your resume. I had to do a drug test, fill out more paperwork that I ever though necessary, and wait until everything checked out.
oh yeah- then the agents come to you to "review" everything on the application in case you've missed something.
so yes, to work for the federal government, the do a thorough backround check. when you are APPOINTED by the President....then it is at his discretion. it is a discredit to the low=levelers like myself to make the comparison.

I totally agree with you that it should go all the way to the top. Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem to matter what we have on these people they always manage to survive. Kinda like cockroaches!!
