I could understand maybe if you guys were going to Lunch but Hello, its the US Open and you went to alot of trouble to get them. I would be so pissed. You better take that $750 from her for those tickets.

Wow Christine, that is horrible. I am with you...I'd be sooo pissed. That is no way to treat a friend....if she doesn't value the friendship, I wouldn't keep her as a friend.

That is just AWFUL! I would never do that to someone let alone one of my close friends. Honestly, as someone else said, if she's willing to ditch this over a guy she just met, then she's not really a Tennis Fan. Even more importantly, if she's willing to do this to YOU especially after your phone call and how you explained how you went out of your way and how much it cost you, then she's not really a friend. But, in a way I kind of feel sorry for her that she is so insecure that she will lose this guy by ditching a day of furtniture shopping for a once in a lifetime thing like this. Because I think that's what it comes down to. I think you handled it very well. Make sure she pays you and definitely invest the money in a Chocolate Fountain.

I had a friend like that - as much as it hurts, it is definitely not worth the frustrations to deal with it all of the time.
