We loved them so we went to see them at a benefit in the city. The band seemed a little off that night, like a drummer was filling in. When my FI went to the bathroom he ran into one of the band members and started asking him questions. The guy told him that he plays with the band "sometimes". He said that basically Kim is the lead singer and she has a pool of band players for each event, depending on how many you need or want.
One of our vendors also told us that they are great sometimes and they aren't so great other days and thought that the last time they heard them most of the band were new other than Kim,

I would still go hear them for yourself though.

yup that is her. she's in the city now running the office from there and her father runs the dix hills office. we had that at our wedding on 8/5 and they were awesome. it did look like some of the members had changed from the video we saw, which worried me a bit when i saw them but they were incredible!!

everyone was up dancing all night--even people that i've never seen dance. they played a bit of everything from the Who to Italian music to gwen steffani to neal diamond and we asked Kim to play her song and it was awesome--the band is the original band that she recorded with.

i wish i had video clips to share with you all but it was truly awesome. they did such a great job. i have not heard one person that attended my wedding not mention how great the band was. everyone loved them.

also kim called me 2 days before the wedding to say how excited they were to play and that it was going to be a great party. she also came up to me after the first song and (our AC was out in the hall for the cocktail hour and first hour of the reception) and she said don't stress at all--we are going to get them up and dancing and they will be hot from dancing all night and will forget about the AC. she was right-they were up all night!

As you saw from an earlier post we used Creations and LOVED them. We've referred many people to them and I still highly recommend them. After this post about the benefit I had to call Kim to find out about this because like I said we had a great experience with them and if others had other experiences I wanted to clarify before I sent more brides on--I know how stressful vendor selection can be!

Kim said that she thinks the benefit that was referred to was in the city at the Copacabana for someone who passed on 9/11. If that’s the one, Creations did the benefit for free as it was a fundraiser and they had their full/original band members plus other part timer band members that also wanted to donate their time to this cause

I’m not sure if this was the benefit that was posted about and I don’t want anyone to think I’m a “fibber” and am part of the band--If you read my posts you will know I went thru all of the planning like everyone of you and I all I want to do is make sure that Brides deal with the best vendors out there.

I wish I had my video to show you how great they were! I wouldn’t have any doubts if I were you but I had a wonderful experience with Creations and Kim and would be happy to share my thoughts with anyone that wanted more info—you can FM me

We used them for our wedding and half the band was replacements, including Kim. I can't tell you how we felt that she wasn't there since all of our important songs were sung by female singers. And yes, we went to see the band a month before. I would never recommend them to anyone. It was like a whole different band the day of our wedding. Real nice..huh?
