Re: april, may, june brides
Definitely not June, it is one of the most popular months to get married along with Sept and October.
In my experience the only times of the year that the halls were cheap was January, Feb, and March. I went to 20 halls before picking mine.

Re: april, may, june brides
I think all of those months are going to be pretty much the same price. I switched dates from July 30 to May 28 and the price pp was the same.. The way I saved money was by having it on a Sunday afternoon.... Oh, I just wanted to add, before you switch your date with the hall, make sure all the other vendors you booked are available for the new date!

Re: april, may, june brides
I went to 20 halls as well. It sounds like most of the low season months are November to March. Of course, certain holidays (New Years Eve and Valentines Day) are more expensive.
Good luck!

Re: april, may, june brides
It's hard to even find a hall w/ any days open in June, or at least that was my experience! People actually laughed at me on the phone when I called to see if my date was open, and it's a Friday!

If you want May 28th, there was someone who posted on here who wanted someone to take over their date at their hall. Do a search and I'm sure it will come up.

Re: april, may, june brides
Well I know some of those dates are already taken by brides on here at Fox Hollow in April May and June!!
FYI May and June are some of the most expensive months to get married in along with September and October. So your price won't change with those months.
Maybe you can change your menu around to save some costs?
I would also consider calling your hall and ask them if they even still have dates available, because chances are they probably won't.

Re: april, may, june brides
I bet if you pushed it to November you could save a lot. (Except for maybe the Friday after Thanksgiving, although I am curious to know if that would be cheaper!)

Re: april, may, june brides
I got 4/30 at FH, and lucky that I got the price break I got for it. One more day, and I literally would have been paying extra b/c May comes into the "Peak" wedding season.
FM me if you want to know how much I'm paying (exatly) at FH for that date.
Under $100 per person including tax and gratuity and a mini-vienesse

Re: april, may, june brides
I think after April. the other months were the same price at my hall as well. I was in the same boat as Christine. Originally, I wanted April 28th or 29th, but they were both booked. Had I gone into the first weekend of May, I would be paying $25 pp, for nothing except it was May....my birthday is in may, so if I want a big May celebration, I'll have a big birthday party!!!!

Re: april, may, june brides
All the places I've visisted seem to charge about the same from April to about October. Jan, Feb & March are the cheapest followed by November. December is a bit pricier, I guess because of all the Christmas parties.

Re: april, may, june brides
We priced out several different possibilities. April and November were just about the same. At the VYC Saturday night in those months was about $95 per person ++. Friday & Sunday night came in at about $85++. March was just a few dollars lower. December was a few dollars higher. Hope that helps.

Re: april, may, june brides
FH and I wanted a spring wedding... April prices were slightly lower than May & June everywhere we looked, but Memorial Day Weekend was perfect, because it gave my family (all OOTers) an extra day off, so we splurged. April was definitely less than May at the Fox Hollow - we checked them out and I remember that so you should ask them, but they may not have any dates left at this point.

i originally wanted May 28..Friday night Memorial day weekend..all the places wanted at least double, triple and a high Max..We went with the last weekend in April and saved ourselves SO much money $$$ Even the first weekend in May was a lot like $30 more just because May is a top month along with any summer months and then it settles in October :) Good Luck will your hall let you switch???

At the Swan Club I was quoted the same price for May and September, but I booked my hall well over a year ago since my original wedding date was May 8, 2005, then Sept 18, 2005 and now May 7, 2006. With tax and service charge I am paying about $75.00 per person.
