Who has a good washer and dryer??
After moving in and attempting to do laundry, i have discovered that the washer is 10+ yrs old and leaves brown stuff all over our clothes! So now we have to get a new one... any one want to recommend brands to check out??

We are buying the He4t from Sears. It is a bit pricey, but tons of features & it can be stackable or side-by-side, so it will be versitile once we have a formal laundry room when we expand.

Re: Who has a good washer and dryer??
We really like ours. I think they are Fridigiaire? We got them at Lowes. It's a front loader washer and so since it's energy efficient, we got the $50 rebate from LIPA.

I have Kenmore. I like it, but I'm not too happy with Sears these days.

We have a HotPoint. I think it's a Home Depot brand or something. I didn't pick it out but bought it off my roommate when she moved out. It gets the job done.

We have a Frigidaire and I have not had any problems at all (knock on wood)...Maytag is a great brand, but pricey.

We have these too, they came with the house. They are really really good but get the service contract with them, Sears comes once a year and services them supposedly if soemthing breaks on them they are very expensive to repair. My neighbor is a maytag repair man and said keep getting the contracts on the front loaders the doors have a tendency to break.
