Vittorio's on Rt 110 in Amityville has this great lobster tail with mango sauce. It's just south of Sunrise Hwy.

JMHO-but I would avoid Legal Seafood. They are hella pricey, and not really worth it.
Jordan's Lobster Farm in Islandia is awesome, but not really a sit down restuarant, Pier 44 in Babylon is fabulous!!!!!!!!

I don't find Legal Seafood to be any more expensive than a decent restaurant. And they have awesome white sangria!

We used to get Jordan's and take it home - their stuff is always great, but not to eat out unless you want to sit at a picnic table outside.

Blue Honu in Huntington has the biggest lobster tails I had ever seen. They tasted great.

Harbor Crab in Patchogue- The have 2 Pound Tuesdays and 3 Pound Thursdays.

they have awesome bisque, and if you sit on the deck, sometimes you get to watch a bride arrive to chateau le mer via yatch, it's cute!!!

I third Surf's Out in Lindenhurst, although on weekends there's usually a wait.
Also if you don't mind coming into Queens there's Pier 25A on Northern Blvd. in Bayside and always City Island in the Bronx.
