NWR but GREAT news for me!
I know I posted about this in the past, but I am starting a 3rd new school this september because I kept taking leave replacements etc...
Anywayyy the position I took for this year was a similiar situation except they pretty much said it will be leave this year but we are expecting retirements etc.
I just got a phone call from human resources saying that my long term leave is now PROBATIONARY and TENURE TRACK!!!!
I was jumping up and down in my room. You girls dont even KNOW how excited I am that I do not have to deal with interviewing and resumes right before the wedding next year. She gave me my tenure date and everything!!!
PHEW....after 3 years of this I am so happy to finally have a "HOME"

Same exact thing happened to me, and I was completely shocked! I know what you mean about not having to worry about interviews and resumes anymore...especially when planning a wedding. I am very happy for you! Good luck!

congrats! where do u teach? im in bklyn so i got a job right a way in a wonderful area (where I student taught), so i never had to worry about that aggrevation. im so happy for u to be done with that nonsense!
