Re: OFFICIAL National Floral Wholesale THREAD!

I changed my appointment to 3/4/06. Did anyone else hear that they are moving? Ana just told me last night. Just down the road a couple of blocks though.

Yes. I posted it up on this thread, but somehow it got deleted.

The last appt I went to (January 31) she told me that they were moving up the block. They'll be on a corner location. She said they were aiming for March.

I spoke with Anna last night and she said they are aiming to complete the move by March 7th.

Re: OFFICIAL National Floral Wholesale THREAD!

Re-post from my review - my biggest piece of advice-get in writing the specific number of flowers to be used in your bouquets - other than that the other issues were out of my control.

NATIONAL FLORAL WHOLESALE 7.5
The centerpieces were beautiful, I really loved them. My BM's bouquets were very pretty but small. They delivered the flowers on time. They did call from the church and stir up some drama with my MIL - saying they couldn't deliver the flowers because of a funeral, but we had told them before to leave them in the back of the church if this was the case - this should have been told to the delivery person, if people were sitting in the back row than he should have figured it out by himself to leave them in the vestibule or something. The rest of the flowers were nice but some of my bouquet flowers were browning on the edges and looked wilted, they forgot my Grandmother's corsage, so it ended up going to the reception hall and she didn't get it until the reception was almost over, the flower arrangements for the church looked sparse, they were supposed to scatter petals on all the tables at the WM but didn't, they were supposed to decorate the cake but didn't (they were there before the cake arrived but didn't leave the picture we gave them). I noticed the bout's (3 out of 6) falling apart after only a few hours (like after the church) which surprised me, but maybe that is normal? My mom's corsage should have been a pin on but it was a wristlet-no biggie but still not what we asked for. I also expected the bouquets to be bigger - especially mine - this is probably my fault for not being specific and doing more research with pictures, etc. This was the only vendor we expected to be wowed by, but weren't. I am not a picky person and I am sure no one else noticed these things but me and DH, but still, we both were aware that we were not impressed.

There are going to be positives and negatives no matter which vendor you go to.

The best advice I've ever received, is take everything as a learning lesson. Just like carlsbride said - make sure you have them write exactly how many flowers are in each CP, bok, bot, etc. This is what I did with our contract, and had a sample CP made.

Re: OFFICIAL National Floral Wholesale THREAD!

Its great to hear that other brides are using NFW.... I was totally impressed with what she did for me! i went to a few different florists and no one could do anything, Im using a Large Margareta glass and she was the only one able to do something.
If i can figure out how to attach pictures, i will. well anyways I have a few pictures in my community album, I just wanted my centerpiece with roses, and no one could do it... but ana did!!!!!!! im totally excited. It looks much larger in person, when i took it apart 3 weeks later, when it started to die, there was 50 roses in it.

tell me honestly what you think

I also agree with the statement above. I had my issues with NFW as well. But had the actual numbers been written in my contract, many of them would have been alleviated.

WOW Gorgeous!!! I love the color!

And yes, you definately need to be very specific when ordering anything! I included the # of roses, the exact color and that I wanted them halfway opened, tied with white ribbon with the stems sticking out. Be very specific.

Re: OFFICIAL National Floral Wholesale THREAD!

Im not 100% sure what color my table cloths are, were having our reception at Chateau La Mer, and my girls dresses are wine with a sash (bill levkoff). im trying to stay more along the lines of fall colors, and the flowers in the centerpieces have a wine edge.

Blue tulip, I cant wait to see how your appointment turned out, have you spoken with ana already?

Re: OFFICIAL National Floral Wholesale THREAD!

I just came home from going to NW Florist..I was blown away with Ana and how amazing she was. I posted recently about florist troubles due to FMIL paying and me having to use her family friend who does not do weddings and no centerpieces. I thought Ana was wonderful and I am using her for centerpieces and have to get FMIL on board for her doing the whole thing.
Thanks so all who have posted and I just found this thread. I am so excited now about my flowers.
