Duet Feedback - Woo's Team
Afternoon Ladies!
I just booked Duet last night (yeah!). There was one album that I absolutely loved - it was all B&W, not digital, black borders - in their Manhattan office. Anyhow, I asked Eric who took those pictures and he said Woo. Can any brides that used Woo give me feedback on his style?

not using Woo- using Jay's team, but I have heard nothing but GOOD things about each of the teams. It is personal preference but they ALL do a great job!  congrats on booking!

We had Woo as our main photographer and also Joseph. Joseph took more of the candid shots. Both were excellent. Both used a combination of film and digital I think. I was less happy with how the digital proofs came out in print - I felt some of the colors were off and asked Duet to reprint them. They came out better the second time but if I had to do it over again, I would only use film. I just think the quality is better.
That said, I love many of the shots that Woo and Joseph took. You can see my proofs in my wedding review on the Brides Review board.

If you look at Duet website under gallery, a lot of the pictures there were taken by Woo.

Thats what i am afraid of- using a photographer that uses all or mostly digital- i feel like the pics will look too digital. I am still on my search to find a photographer!

Yep, I think the BxW is in film and the color is digital, though they can make bxw from those shots too. I just don't feel that digital photography looks as "real" in print. I may scan some examples of what I mean and post.

He did all of my creative shots, and he comes up with some great ones... and some classic ones... DEFINATELY ASK FOR WOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (can you tell I loved him!!)
He did this great shot of me with my girls all around me kinda leaning/crouching and then he jumped up onto the railing of the deck and snapped it.. I couldn't wait to see it and it was one of my favorites!!!!! Check for my review.. I believe my link to the proofs is on there.. if not, don't hesitate to FM me!! Good Luck!

oh-- and on a side note... NONE of my pictures "looked" digital... they were all perfect... and the good thing is that you can get B&W changed to color and semi color, and color switched to B&W or sepia too..... If you went to the studio on LI, the B&W pic with the color accents of the bride and groom walking outta the church was us!!!!!!
