Question about COLOR of MOB Dress!!!!
My mom has started dress shopping, she is NOT thrilled b/c she wants to lose weight (What woman doesn't!!). Anyway, she went today and bought a dress, and said she was not going to try it on unless I said the color was okay. It's cream (only color avail). My dress is white, girls will be aqua. DO you think cream is okay for MOB?

I think it would be fine! especially since you are in white! But it is really about if you are comfortable with it.

I think it's totally up to you. If you don't mind, then it's fine. Personally, I would not want her in cream. I would want a totally different color.

I agree. Also if she wanted to wait until she lost more weight why didn't she? She has a year.. thats plenty of time for a MOB dress.

I honestly don't mind. She wanted to make sure it was okay with me. My mother is SO not the show-stopper-craving-for-attention type so it doesn't matter much to me what color she wears, though I did say "not black, not WHITE, and not aqua"
She wanted to get a dress soon (she started looking in April) b/c FH's mother has been up my @$$ about HER getting her dress. When I explained to FH that "traditionally" my mom chooses her dress 1st. He SO did not get it, I then said "Aside from that, my mom asked "I get to pick mine first, right?" See, my parents are divorced and both remarried, my mom met me step-mom for the 1st time at our e-party in April. I am VERY close to my mom and it's been SO hard on the both of us being so far apart and planning the wedding... I want her to be happy.

You know my answer! I personally didn't care what color my mom wore...even white would have been OK with me...seriously, she's my mom and I knew no one was going to confuse her with the bride and I wouldn't have taken it as her trying to steal my thunder.
I think your mom's dress choice is elegant and very nice.
ETA: But it's all about you girlie and what you want!

anyway - I've seen alot of MOB that wear cream. Its pretty on the moms.
ETA - But say the FH's mom goes ahead and gets a cream dress..... THAT would be a problem.
