Duet Photography - Past / Present Brides

I noticed that a lot of LIW brides are using them for their photography/video. Are they good? How about their prices? style?? Please let me know. I also found that there is a language problem, is it really that bad? I am planning to see them....any feedback would be appreciated...

Dont worry about the language problem- i was nervous about it before i went too and then i met the salesperson (who i cant remember his name- i think eric- and we understood everything...and his i heard is the most difficult to understand... he is not a photographer- how much do you really need to talk anyway- they give you directions and thats it, youre not going to have full length conversations on a serious topic-thats my thought process anyway

their prices are FANTASTIC- dont settle either- THEY DO negotiate...even if they dont lower price they WILL add stuff for you!

their work actually made me tear up! It was fabulous! I saw LOTS of photographers and they were without a doubt the best I saw!

We booked Duet for photography only. Their work is fabulous for photo, we weren't crazy about the video (personal preference). Of all the places we went to, they had the best prices! We were a little hesitant at first because of the language thing, but Eric so friendly and the second time we went back I did not have such a hard time understanding him. I am very excited about Duet as our photographer, everytime I see pictures on this site that I absolutely love, they are by Duet!

Their prices are very reasonable considering most photo/video packages are over $5K. But their work is unbelievable. Check out their website

I am using Duet and I have to say I am very excited about using them. Do a search on Duet and look at Julz33 and SoontobemsZ's proofs-that is what made me book with them! And they are sooo sweet. I would make an appt and meet with them! Best of luck!!

We used Duet and didn't encounter any language problem. They were very prompt and thorough, making sure all of our photos on our wish list were covered.

One thing I would advise is this: be specific about what you want and don't want in the contract. We didn't want a lot of BxW photos and I think they normally use a combo of BxW and color. I wanted to tell them no BxWs, but they convinced us to have some. Well, we got back our proofs and over half were BxW. I should have stipulated in the contract I wanted at least 60% color proofs or something like that.

Also, while their work is fantastic overall, I was less than impressed with the quality of their color printing. We found the colors to be off. (I just have my proofs so far, not my album or final photos.)

Try talking to other brides who have already had their weddings. I know most are overwhelmingly happy with them.
