Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
Are past or present flowerfield brides using a DOC? or wished you did?
I am sort of feeling like I want one now?

Re: Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
We did and I am so happy we did. But she only stayed until she knew everythng was what we wanted. We used her all befoer the actual reception which was the best choice we made. Flowerfield is really on top of things but I am sort of a perfectionist and I need someone else to make sure it is what I want.
ETA: I see you are getting married there also, then IMO you do not need one. They are great at Flowerfield and will handle everything. WE got married at a church and our DOC took care of all of that for us.

I am starting to feel that for the little bit of extra money- it will give me so much peice of mind-
I might not even tell my Dad and just pay for it myself-
If you don't mind me asking who did you use?

Re: Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
I didn't tell my dad we hired a DOC and my mom paid for it behind his back but ended up telling him later on
I really don't think you need one. Between the BM, your maitre'd, and the bridal attendant, you don't need one there at all. That's why you are paying them all that money

Re: Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
Good Point- I already didn't tell my Dad about the second photographer- I have to stop
This is why my FH calls me the consumer- b/c I want everything I hear about
I forgot about the bridal attendent- I should be fine
One of my friends offered to go there early and check on things- how sweet!

So you just had one for the Church? I looked into one and they are around 600 from the quotes i got...was yours cheaper b/c you only needed her at the Church? I really feel like 600 is alot of money for someone to just set everything up in Church..cause I know FF has it all under control

I paid about $600 for her but I used her before the church too. She helped make sure all of my vendors were confimred, there was a slight confusion of where all the flowers went to (my fault) and she fixed that and made sure everything was going smooth at the hotel where we were staying. Also I had a lot to set-up at the church. Plus, I had to pay after a certain time per hour. My church was far from Flowerfield so it added up. I think $600 was worth it. In the grand scheme of things, what's another $600 for your sanity

Re: Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
I am doing it- my Dad and MOH don't have a clue- and My Mom is no long with us- so I feel like I want to have someone looking out for me
Plus I used to work at a catering hall as a bartender- and I know that all I cared about was eating the left over crab cakes-
$300 seems reasonable- I hope she is available now!

Re: Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
We just went for our final meeting and they had everything under control. We actually walked ot and our mouths dropped at how together they were. My BM actually said she was going to call and confirm all my vendors for me as well. They really have it together at Flowerfield so I do not think a DOC is necessary.
If I was not getting married at Flowerfield, I mean having the ceremony there, I might feel different though.
Also I was there on Monday night and they got some new carpet and all new tables for the cocktail room and they look amazing!! They are dark wood!

Re: Past/Present FLowerfield Brides - DOC?
ok- that make sme feel better- I trust flowerfield- but I also know that my MOH- who is my 22 year old sister- will be no help- and I want every one to have fun and not have "jobs"
$300 is resaonable to make sure things go smoothly- I am a perfectionist!
If my Mom was still alive- I doubt I would need a DOC- I think having one will make it easier on me- plus it might keep My Dad's GF from over stepping her boundaries!

I didnt use one, and I have to tell you it was fine. FF does such an amazing job of making sure that everything goes as planned. Scott the Maitre D was so terrific, I gave very specific details of what I wanted and it was perfect.
