Did any of you have second-thoughts on your dress after you ordered?

I don't know. Maybe I'm just having four-months-to-go jitters. I couldn't find the sort of dress I originally wanted, and didn't have the time and resources to have one made. I really, really liked the dress I ended up ordering the first couple of times I tried it on. But when I went to buy it, I had just had an unpleasant argument with a family member, and I didn't like it as much. I figured that I was just down because of that.

It's bigger and heavier (lots of beading) than I had originally planned on. Whenever I see pictures of it, I wonder. The FH and one of my BMs think it looks lovely, but I dunno. I'm not sure I can really see myself wearing it! Anyone else really wonder if you bought "the one" or not after the fact?

Yes, after seeing all the beautiful dresses some girls on this site have it made me wonder if I chose the right one. But after I tried it again, I fell in love with-again. Remember you chose it for a reason

i havent thought twice about mine, but to reassure you .... its ok to second guess, but realizse you chose it for a reason and you must look amazing in it! That day you will be glowing and with your hair and makeup done, you will look the princess you are in your gown! Dont worry!

I did.

My aunt made a comment about it being a perfect dress for an "older woman's second wedding".

Excuusse me!?! I was in tears. But I posted it here and all of you made me feel so much better about my dress choice.

Unless you really hate it now, stick with your original choice. You will be beautiful bride.

I had and still have second thoughts sometimes. But, I second thought almost everything...

I just have to go to the store and put the sample on again. It's been since February.

My dress has 3/4 sleeves, and I always wonder if I'll be too hot. hmm....I'm in the same boat as you, don't worry too much.

YES.. I saw a horrible pic of another bride wearing my dress on another site and I started crying and had it in my head it looked like a curtain.

I went to try it on again with my sister and MOH and I felt better.

I think that a lot of brides have 2nd thoughts, about everything, not just their dress. the reason being is that there are literally millions of choices out there and we all want everything to be perfect.

You will look beautiful in your dress.

I had second, third, fourth, and fifth thoughts. I saw it in a magazine, decided that was the dress, tried it on, and ordered it. A few months later I was browsing through a bridal magazine and FH walked right as I turned the page. From across the kitchen he told me to go back and said that the dress on the previous page was "absolutely gorgeous". Needless-to-say, it was nothing like my dress. I re-thought my dress (my sister even said the other dress was really nice). I went back to the bridal place, tried it on again, and said too bad, this is my dress. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Put it on again and pay attention to the feeling you get when you look in the mirror. If it's disgust, rethink. If you still love it, go with it. You gut instinct is usually the best. I feel this way about my bridemaid dresses. All of my bridesmaid are different shapes, sizes, and multi-ethnic. Its so hard finding a dress that is the right color and cut for everyone. I loved it on one of my bridesmaid but it didn't look good on my maid of honor. We already put down the deposit. Im ready to lose money over it. I want them to look great and feel great. I'm afraid that if they don't it will show in the pictures ;( I hope I don't feel this way about my dress in the long run.

Yes, I definitely did. Then again, I have questioned every decision that I made about the wedding, except for the man that I will be marrying.

I had to force myself to stop looking at other dresses after I bought mine because I was questioning it so much. However, I tried it on again when one of my BM's was ordering her dress and I loved it.

I would suggest trying it on again and see how you feel in it.

With my dress I knew the minute I put it on that it was the one. But I lost the excitement because I haven't seen it in a while. But once you put it on again, it will all come back to you. Don't worry. Of course you will like other dresses, there are so many beautiful ones out there. But we can't all be like Melania Trump and wear two dresses or more because we feel like it. You'll look fabulous!!

yes I def did have second thoughts so much so that I ordered a new dress with just about 16 weeks before my wedding and now when i try on my dress i am just so happy and glowing ..... it def makes a def in your mood if you dont like your dress

You girls are great! I read your replies and started feeling better about my dress over the weekend. I think it's just that I haven't seen it in so long!!!

Well, that and we finally finished our china and crystal registries on Saturday.

I loved it when I put it on, and thought this is it! Then, when it arrived and I tried it on before my first fitting, I hated it. It was too big, and after the fitting, I loved it again.

Now after the last fitting, I'm disliking it again, mainly because I don't think the seamstress did a good job with one part of it. I'm trying it on again this week, and I really hope it is fixed!

So, I've been going back and forth. I think a lot of the issues I've had with it though have to do with the fit, and not the dress itself.

Yes, I have felt and still do feel this way at times! I think its all the anxiety that we get from not seeing the dress often and seeing pictures of the tons of dresses that are out there that aren't ours. Its easy to second guess your choice, particularly when there are a millions of dresses out there. However, I will say this.... when it arrives and you get fitted for it - and it is really "your dress" ... I really believe that all of those feelings will disappear. At least, that's what I am hoping for myself anyway!!

I had thought twice about mine after seeing other girls dresses but when I went for my first fitting I was so happy that I had picked that dress, and glad I didnt change my mind. Try it on again, Im sure you'll see why you loved it!

Yea, I've definitely thought twice about it but the way I see it is how couldn't I? So many brides have such beautiful dresses out there and meet "my criteria": sparkly, princess-style, and that tad of sexiness that hopefully my FH would only notice But, I think when its all put together and you look at yourself in the mirror, you'll realize that you picked it out for a reason.

The only doubt I am having is that FH won't like it... he always likes the really simple ones in the magazines and the one I got has a lot of embroidery and crystals and stuff. But I thought I like simple too until I tried them on. When I think about it he will think I am beautiful in any dress.

Nope, I haven't had any doubts about it yet!! Tho I admit that I don't like it as much hanging in the bag. I don't know why, I guess it just doesn't show it off well enough. But once I put it on I feel this transformation and I just get reaffirmed that it's "the one"!!!

One point I did but than I looked at a picture and remember how much I love it!!!!!
