update................bad news Need Bayside, Queens Info! Found a home, but need more info..update on bidding
So DH and are I found a house we really love in Bayside, however I'm not sure about the area, so if any Bayside grls can let me know that would be great!
It's near Cardozo HS, The Queensboro College is a few short blocks away, and Horace Harding Expwy is a house away....
any thoughts?

Grew up in Whitestone and live in Bayside now, its a nice area there. My parents have friends who live there and its great.

update...bad news...
no house.
the other bidders took the house from under us b4 we could sign the contract...
so no house...
we think some fishy biz was going on under the table....
so now the search continues

So sorry to hear that. But unfortunately it happens and is legal. Until contracts are signed I was told that if another bidder outbids I could potentially lose the house. But most sellers dont usually continue to show but in your case sounds like bidders who had seen the house before and chose to outbid by at least 5k. You will find your home soon.!!!!!!!!!

All may not be lost. Two of the houses we bid on and were out-bid on (both bids went over asking) are now back on the market. Just because the other buyer offers more money doesn't mean they have it or are approved for it.
