Larkfield Manor Brides--Repost from BBB

I know you have been waiting for me to let you know what happened when I went to do my final menu. Well, unfortunately, I needed to take some time to cool off before I did so....

When we first arrived, we met with Lisa, who is an ABSOLUTE doll. I love her. I was telling her about you guys, and how I was going to "report' back to you. She said that was such a great idea (now, Im not so sure she feels that way).

I asked her if there were new owners. She said yes, that they took over 3 weeks ago(no more Gabe or Frank ) So, I asked why I was not notified of this. When I went in after Frank left, I was told that I was not notified because he was not management, but now it is management, and I was still not notified. Lisa apologized and I got over it.

So I asked if I could meet the new owners. She said sure, we would meet one of them in a little while. When my mom and I went into the lobby to try to look at the tables, Lisa introduced us to the owner Harry. I was completely turned off because he did not extend his hand to shake mine, but I was the better person, and extended my hand to shake his. My mom did the same.

So then he came into the room, and didnt shake my FH or my dads hand. I guess hes just not the shaker kind of guy (I miss Frank who would kiss EVERYONE!) So when he comes in the room, he doesnt greet anyone. Lisa continues to say that we would like pictures of a vienesse hour before we book it. I just wanted to see what it looked like. WELL...here's where the drama and the tears begin....

He said, oh no, I am not going to spend my time taking pictures. Im thinking about building and adding on to this place. So my face drops and I say, you will not take 2 seconds to snap one or two pics. And I said, are you saying that you are going to be building during someones wedding. So hes like yes, I will not take the pics. SO i proceed to start crying and leave the room. I wanted to slap him in the face.

So when I come back in, he's talking to everyone else saying the he does not know why I got upset and that he could take pics of a vienesse hour somewhere else and I would never know. So I said are you saying that you are deceitful? Shouldn't I be able to trust you. Well he got all flustered, and continued on with something else. He said that they are getting all new china and silverware and everything and he does not have to let us use it. So now my mom, who is very calm, started to get pissed. She didnt show it, but I knew it. My fh was like, we dont really care what we eat on. We would have used the other stuff anyway if Gabe was still here, so if you want to be like that, give us the old stuff. He never gets mad either.

So then he goes on about a cappuchino machine saying that he wont give it to us for the vienesse hour and crap like that. He was really really nasty. You cant even imagine.

Oh, and when i asked Lisa where the owners came from, she said various halls on the island. So i said, well where, and shes like oh I think Sandcastle and Woodbury Country Club. SO then I asked the owner, and he said, oh many on the island. And I said oh, which ones, and he said many onthe island. And i said, why are you being so vague. WHy wont you tell me. And hes like, well Sandcastle, and like 2 others. I have NO idea why he was so discreet about it

So my mother finally told him to leave. I said to him, this is supposed to be fun for me. I should not be leaving here crying, and she said NOTHING.

Then as we were leaving, the owner was in the lobby, and did not even say GOODBYE to us.

RUDE RUDE RUDE. Thats is all I can say. I would not let my mom put down more money because I was soooo pissed. I have an appt with the other owner tom, so I will let you know how it goes.

I know that all of our weddings will be wonderful. I dont want to get you nervous. He was just an arrogant A-hole, but I will not let him ruin one of the most important days of my life. Lisa is a doll, and I am just going to deal with her.
