12th Night Brides...need ur advice on photo upload....
I got my proofs back and I am trying to upload them so I can order them....I am using winkflash.com and I just uploaded one roll (out of 8) and it says it's gonna take 3 hours - is this how long it takes to upload them...does that mean i have to sit here for all 8 rolls 3 hours each?  there has to be an eaiser way to order hard copies of my proofs...what did you guys do?

I used snapfish. It shouldn't take that long to do 8 photos.
But, it did take me a few days to get them all up.

i used shutterfly and it took me a while also to do ALL of them. But definetly a lot less then 3 hrs for 8.

try shutting down yr computer & reboot
that happened to me - somethimes
the computer gets silly - it should not take 3hrs

THe upload time will depend on what kind of internet connection you have and how high the resolution of the photos are.
If you have a dial up connection, its going to take a while. Before I got broadband, I would start photo uploads before I went to bed and they would be finishing up by the next morning...so 8 hours sounds right.
If you do have a high speed connection, maybe the photos are higher resolution than they need to be. The min should be 300dpi for the size you want to print them. If you are uploading them at 600 dpi or higher, its really not necessary so you could resize them to make the upload shorter (although the resizing would take time too).

Thanks Everyone! I figured out how to do it...i am using snapfish and it is going a lot faster...I already uploaded over 300 pics...just have 800 more to go  but it's all worth it...I'll post a link soon so I can share

Hey Jen - I can't wait to see! My pics took a while to upload, but it was worth it - I love 12th Night! And I have quite a few cute ones of Mr. and Mrs. Kunz!

Any luck with the winkflash site Dom recommended? I know its much cheaper to order pics from there.
I havent started uploading yet because I know its going to take FOREVER!
