What about green dresses? Or silver, or gold? I like plum and I think it's a color that flatters a lot of skin types, I don't really think that it goes with a holiday theme, but then again it really doesn't have to...there other details of the theme could be enough....

Re: Can you have a christmas/holiday theme w/ plum dresses?
definately! you can do a bordeaux color, which is like a purple-ish wine color. You could even do velvet, which would look beautiful!

Re: Can you have a christmas/holiday theme w/ plum dresses?
Absolutely.. nowadays, plum has worked it's way into the holiday colors. I know where I work we often do wreaths and arrangements at Christmas with plum in them.. go for it!

I'm picturing like a shimmery dark purple. plum satin with silver accents in the decor. I just feel like red is so overdone.

ETA: No offense to anyone using red. It's great. I was going to use it, but since EVERY other wedding in both families has had red, it's overdone in my case
