We decided against it because the bedrooms were too small.

We are going to look at a house tomorrow and another one maybe friday or saturday that I found

That house has been on the market forever. At least since January when I started looking.

Re: This was the house Danielle and I were going to buy

Hey Scott! We almost bought a house in Massapequa it had a lot of nice attributes but the rooms upstairs EVEN WITH the custom built in closets against the wall was TOO TOO SMALL.
When it's right..it will happen. People always say that and I believe it's true. You FM'ed me the other day about N.Bellmore - lol - I was just asking :)
I've done a lot of research about areas - have you been looking in Merrick (which I heard is very desirable right now) and Seaford?

ETA: we also loved this house in Bellmore..BUT the rooms were incredibly small upstairs bedrooms...and the basement ceiling was very small but the house was on a great block and had the south bellmore SD and the kitchen was DONE with a great backyard 2 car garage...we passed it up

The front looks kind of strange. I am not crazy about how the windows are set up. You will find something better! Good Luck!

Re: This was the house Danielle and I were going to buy

This was the first house we looked at (broker showed it to us about 4 months ago, she also showed us a house down the block from it). The price was $449K. It has no backyard, small bedrooms, small overall, didn't like the area. You will find something much better. Looks like a house you would buy in Queens, not LI (we live in Queens). Side entrance very weird. Good luck. That's just my opinion.

We liked the side entrance, itwas very private..so your neighbors dont sit there and gawk at you. Liked the appeal of the stone around the entrance way, and all the custom touches that were done to the inside of the house, including the custom built stair way.

The rooms were very small, the yard was a decent size, and the driveway was nice...for $449k it was over priced.

We looked at a Dutch Colonial too when we were looking. I love the style, but the rooms were tiny upstairs. You will find the perfect house and it's worth waiting for

I was thinking the same thing. Why didn't they post a picture of the front?

And this is before they removed the front door. The reason why they removed the front door, was because they put a half bath there.

They added a third layer roof or second layer, and also put a cathedral ceiling in the living room near the front window. You will notice a peak in the first picture that wasnt on the original house

Now its over priced. They are having an open house this weekend, I believe Saturday. MLS has the time and so does prudentals website.

I went to an open house in bellmore this weekend and the agent said that house has been on the market since last summer and they started asking $460k for it originally...I could not believe that

Re: This was the house Danielle and I were going to buy

scott, did you look in elwood school district? The houses here are not that expensive. great starters, good school and not far from highways. when you go to mls, look in suffolk and search by school district only.
