Do people think you are nuts because you treat your dog/cat as a child?
People at work always tease me because I love Missy so much that I treat her as a human child. They are like "um, its just a dog". People who dont have a pet have no idea about the love you have for them.

Not really, since most people I talk about my cat to have pets themselves. But, I think it is sort of true that people w/o pets just can't understand hwo much they can mean to us.

Yes, especially when they see how I talk to my cat and my finches. I talk to them like they are all 3- year olds. FH says I need to have kids someday or people will REALLY think I'm crazy!!

Yep, I understand completely. We call all our animals our "kids" (we aren't having any children), so some members of our family think we are weird.

I always treat Bella like my little daughter. My FH says I spoil her. I talk to her and ask her questions. My Fh is like, "She's not going to answer you!!!!"   I know, but she's like a little person!!!!!

Yea but I don't care, my dog is my life. What's even more crazy is I don't think of him as being a dog, I feel like that is degrading to him. He is human to me, I just adore him and I don't care what people think of me or how crazy they think I am...I show my little guy lots of love and he is spoiled because of it
