How would you handle this situation?
I know I have time to think about this, but it came across in conversation last night and now it's on my mind. In my FI family he has alot of relatives with the same first and last names. Examples: There are like 4 Mr. & Mrs. Michael Smith's, 5 Mr & Mrs. Robert Lee's etc.
Now the question is: How should I make their place cards out? If I put Mr & Mrs. Michael Smith, and there are 4 they won't know which one I mean.
I was thinking put their wives names too. That is if they don't have the same names also.
I need ideas, please!
Thanks.

Re: How would you handle this situation?
None are Juniors.
Everytime I look at the list I giggle because I honestly can't believe how many names are the same.
More things to worry about.

Re: How would you handle this situation?
I just went to a wedding where the bride didn't put Mr. or Mrs. on her place cards.... she had Fiance's name and then mine... first and last for both... no Mr., Mrs., Ms. etc... I thought that was kind of different and less stuffy.. but I know that Peggy Post would say different!

Re: How would you handle this situation?
Hmm..that's a tough one, but maybe use the wife's name for the place cards.

Re: How would you handle this situation?
i think someone already sais it, but i would do it this way:
michael & anne smith
michael & sarah smith
and so on....it doesn't exactly fit the "etiquette", but how else could you do it.
