If anyone has furniture or household items to get rid of because you have merged two households, I highly recommend contacting the Partnership for the Homeless. They have a program called Furnish a Future, which provides basic furniture, household necessities for people who used to be homeless and now have a place to live.

I dontated some of my things and FHs yesterday. They came (to my 4th floor walk-up) and picked up a bunch of things.
