Pics of Ivory Gowns
So after trying on about 25 dresses I finally found "the one." The next decision is which color to order. The dress only comes in white or ivory (the ivory is a light ivory). I tried on the ivory in the salon and loved it but am nervous that it will have a yellow tone to it in pictures. Is this the case? Can you ladies please post some pics of your ivory gowns to ease my mind?

beautiful dress---i'd say it depends really on your skin tone. if it looked good in person with your skin tone, it'll look great in pictures!
this pic is of my ivory gown (without me in it). actually they called it diamond white, but it's really more of an ivory.

I think I had just always thought of ivory as being yellow but the dress wasn't yellow at all. Thanks for the pics...your dresses are all so beautiful!

I thought Ivory gowns looked yellow at first, but then another bride told me to look at it in the natural light. Most bridal salons have flourescent lighting which makes the fabric look more yellowish. If you look at the dress in natural light, it looks very white.
I ended up buying white, but the difference between light ivory and white will be barely noticeable in your pictures, and to your guests...
If you like how you look in the ivory, it probably suits your skin-tone best...Go for the ivory...

My gown is ivory, it had to be.
My skin is very pale and I look awful in white. Ivory on the other hand makes my skin look darker than it is. so it was a no brainer for me.
It doesn't look yellow at all.

That's the dress I chose too!
I ordered it in ivory, i thought it looked more elegant than the white version.
Good Luck choosing. I'm supposed to get the dress this weekend! I ordered through netbride and saved a bunch!

My gown is Ivory. When I saw it in person it definitely wasn't yellow looking, but you can see a difference next to a pure white gown. I went to a wedding years ago where the bride's gown was ivory and had a major yellow tint... So glad the ones now are not like that!

just posted pics of my gown in my album labeled non-professional pics. It was a super creamy ivory and it didn't look yellow in pics. And if any shade was going to look too ivory it would've been this one, trust me.

I bought the same dress and I LOVE the ivory, its not yellow, just not as harsh as the white was on me, but Im very pale. I took pcitures when my dress came in and Im surprised as to how white it looks in those - now Im confused as to what color to have the tux shirts be!

i ordered mine in ivory and just recently saw what it looks like in white and boy am i glad i didnt get white in my opinion it just looked cheap it lost the softness of it!!! I would go for ivory

I had a Casablanca gown in Ivory. It's very subtle. In fact, I ordered my shoes in ivory also and they were a little too ivory.
