JOB VENT...I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE

LONG COMPLICATED STORY MADE SHORT...
So today I was told that I will be changing grade levels and coming out of this special program called a mini school that I was put into last year and is a privelege to be in and people are rarely taken out once they get into it...But I wasnt told by the PRINCIPAL but by our Literacy Coach...I HATE THIS PRINCIPAL WITH A PASSION!!

Apparently they aren't sure where I am go to be next year...So I was upset and the literacy coach told me "well atleast you have a job" and I just went off on her...I was like well was there a chance I wasn't going to have a job?? And she was like well no thats not what I said!!'

Basically I hate this place...I wish I could walk into the principal and tell her to SHOVE THIS STUPID JOB

Kathleen, I'm sooooo sorry. I know you been hating this job most of the year. Hopefully something better will come up over the summer.

What total BS. I'd be beyond pissed.

so sorry to hear about your day!!!!
sometimes/most of the time i feel like people at work are crazy. I had a bad day today too so i know just how you feel. Don't you just wish you could be your own boss and tell everyone to shove it? sometimes people at work seem to have lost all sense of common courtesy or consideration.

dont feel too bad, in the long run it is just work.

That totally stinks!! I would start looking for a new job, esp since you're fed up so often. I should be taking my own advice, I hate my job too!! Vent away

Kath, so sorry!
I hope that something will come up for you so you can get OUT OF THERE! I know u were not happy there to begin with and sure, this made it worse! Sorry!
My sister is a teacher here in Bethpage and I will look out to see if they are or anyone is looking.


In the meantime, its almost over and you get to have your summer off to enjoy! Chin up and feel better.

I am a teacher too...I absolutely hate the politics that go on in the schools. I am dealing with a similar situation...I am the LC Coordinator of my building and I just want to go back to the classroom. There doesn't seem to be much flexibility at all. Try not to stress yourself out too much, summer is almost here! 13 days left!

Kathleen, so sorry to hear that this happened to you. That totally stinks!! I would've went off on the lady myself. Your principal sounds like a real jerk...no offense to them or any thing. The whole school system stinks...I hear a lot of these kind of stories. Hope that all works out for the best...perhaps some thing sooo much better will come along. I am so not happy with my job either...I'm a daycare teacher...Pre-K...a little different. I had a run-in with my boss and if you knew me, I'm a quiet person and am hardly ever a mean person. Well I went off on this woman last week....oh my lord..I thought I was going to be fired. Thankfully not....but needless to say I went on a job interview and got the call today as a matter of fact that I got the job (would've been working in a Pediatric doctors office...more close to my field since I went to nursing school) Unfortunately I can't afford to lose the benefits and things I have now. I work for the state in a state school, so I'd be risking too much. But if it wasn't for that, some thing better did come along and hopefully the same occurs for you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Just think...your summer vacation will be here before you know it.
