New to this Board - Co-Op Question
Hello Ladies... I am new to this board and need your expertise. My husband and I are beginning to look at some Co-Ops, but we have no idea where to begin... Should we get pre-approved. Just go to a realtor, what? This whole task seems like it is going to be MUCHO confusing!!! TIA

I guess it couldn't hurt to have an idea of how much you are pre-approved for before looking, but then again, it can't hurt to look before you have all your financials in order.

Re: New to this Board - Co-Op Question
I suggest that you get pre-appoved for several reasons.
1. It will help you know figure out your budget.
2. The real estate agent and the seller will know take you more seriously if you are pre-approved.
3. This is the best reason.... It allows you to be able to move quicker if you find something you like.
DH and I were just looking and decided to get pre-approved. I am so glad that we did because we loved the first place we looked at and put in a bid and bought the place.
