Re: West Sayville Country Club
I went there for a shower a couple of months ago, it is nice, I think they had just repainted. The food was good.
Depending on how many people you have it may be a little crowded. I would definitely recommend going there to see their set up.

FH's manager got married there. We didn't go to the wedding but I don't think they had any complaints.

We didn't love the set-up of the rooms. I'd also recommend checking out Timber Point--they were somewhat similar but we liked the TP layout better.

I just had my e-party there and EVERYONE I've spoken to since has raved about it. The food was delicious and the service was great. They just renovated the inside and it looks great. I thought they were reasonably priced too. Definitely check it out.
HTH!

Re: West Sayville Country Club
I just got back from a meeting there. I loved it. I thought the separation of the dance floor after thinking about it was a good idea. How many guests are you having. Im anticipating 150-175. Does anyone know if there is a showcase coming up there. How about the DJ's and Photo they recommend or the service? TIA

Re: West Sayville Country Club
We didn't really like the way the tables were set up, but I have to say I LOVED the banquet manager, Lori. She was just as sweet as can be

I am set on the view. I thought it was an unbelievable view. What didn't you like about the set-up of the tables any advice would help.

Re: West Sayville Country Club
I am getting married there in 2 months and even though the tables are set apart from the dance floor, for me I like it. The party people can hang by the music and great aunt Helen can sit further away and not be blasted by the DJ. The food is really good too.

I have heard the food is excellent as well. I got a good feeling when I walked in there. Very home and I love the NEW Look. Any negatives from anyone or positives if you have had more of an experience then myself

I don't mean to be the only one who is in disagreement, but FI and I were ready to book, we loved the view and it seemed very cozy and different. We went for the food tasting and I have to say, the chicken was harder to cut than the beef. When you mess up chicken I get a bit concerned....
Sorry, maybe it was the chef's bad day, but we didn't want to take the chance.

Re: West Sayville Country Club
Im very shocked to hear about the food sampling being horrible for you. I can honestly say the food has never been an issue with anyone i have spoken with.
A co-worker of mine actually got married there recently and she said that everything ran so smoothly and so professional. She said the Maitre'D Ann-Marie was fantastic and very well organized. Hearing such a good review of a place from someone is the reason I went to look at it in the first place.
I actually was there this afternoon to look around again because they had an affair going on and I wanted to get the feel for the separation because that was my only concern, but once seeing it for myself I am satisfied.
Im very set on the place and will be booking within the week

While I was not a fan of the set-up of West Sayville, the food is by Lessing's and they have the same chefs as the Bourne Mansion, the Mansion at Coindre Hall, the Vanderbilt Mansion, Timber Point Mansion, and Smithtown Landing Country Club. I've never heard a complaint about the food at any of the Lessing's locations, and at Timber Point they substituted the Bourne Mansion menu for me when I asked for changes. They were very accomodating.
