Jealous mom vent!
Anyone else have a mom who is so jealous of other family members that want to help out with wedding plans? Every time someone on my dads side wants to help with something (a wedding related project, or wedding related shopping) she gets so jealous and mad. I don't know what to do because I love my family and my mom and I always make sure she is involved, but she can't do everything! It is just frustrating!

I am not in the same situation, llucky for my mom , she gets to do as she pleases with many things, dads family couldnt care less- SO i cant relate- BUT I CAN give you maybe try to talk to her and explain that you want to make it easier on her and to let so and so do...whatever they want to do

I know what that is like. My mom is jealous that I'm in a relationship and that I'm having a wedding, because she never really had one.
Are your parents still married? if they are ask your dad to talk to her.
If not maybe share your concerns with a memeber of her family and ask them for help. But I don't know your famly life so I this may not be of any help. I know how crazy jealous family memebers are.

aww thank you girls. You are both very sweet. Yes they are still married. My mom just has this thing against his family, just jealous because my brothers and I are closer to his side then hers. But I always include my mom in everything and god forbid I don't ask her first, it's like she is super sensitive or something??

Do you guys live in the same area?
I'm not from the NYC area, but I'm moving here, and my family had come to terms with the move, but now that I'm engaged wedding planning for a wedding here, I know they get jealous sometimes because they feel left out. I try to include them as much as I can, but they still feel left out because they can't see what's going on, and so even though they've been involved in almost everything, they don't feel like they have.
