CAN I LOSE 10 LBS IN 5 WEEKS??????!!!!!!!!
I JUST RECIEVED MY GOWN AND IT'S TOO SMALL! I CAN'T ZIP IT ALL THE WAY UP! I FEEL LIKE I WOULD NEED TO LOSE A GOOD 10LBS FOR IT TO FIT. CAN I DO IT????? ANY SUGGESTIONS????????

Yes, you absolutely can do it, and you can actually do the 10 pounds in two weeks! I suggest going on the two week plan of South Beach - cut out all CARBS. If you want, I can send you the menu and receipes....FM ME! 10 pounds is all WATER, which is cake. You're setting a VERY realistic goal for 5 weeks. You'll be fine!

Losing 2 lbs per week is safe. Drink tons of water. Exercise whenever possible; even something as little as taking stairs up one or two flights instead of an elevator is something. Walk during lunch, after dinner, whenever you can squeeze it in.
I second using South Beach!
You can do it!!!!!

Yes you can! Atkins (although I know isn't the best very long term) is WONDERFUL for taking off the pounds at a good speed! Good luck!

Good Luck! I read this since I ideally I'd like to do the same, second fitting tomorrow so we shall see. One word of caution since I lost zero on South Beach an dI didn't cheat at all --was I had a hard time keeping up my intense work out schedule while on it since I had very low energy due to the small amount of carbs. Definitely try it. I loved the principle of it but it didnt work for me. Good Luck! You can do it.

You can loose the weight.
However, have you considered letting the gown out? A good seamstress could do this.
You're going to be stressed like crazy in the next few weeks, which makes it hard to loose weight.

You can definitely do it, you have time. Besides eating great, I'd also try to at least walk/jog a few times a week (if not going to the gym, working out another way).

you definitely should try south beach... not my favorite diet, but i did lose 8 pounds (that stayed off) in the first two weeks... and you lose the most in the middle, which should help the zipper quite a bit. good luck!!!

Yes, do Phase 1 of South Beach. The first time I did it, I lost 14 lbs in just under 2 weeks. It was a little hard not to drink (a bit of a party girl I am  ) but it was definitely worth it.

I will definetely be on the look out for that post. My first fitting is in 2 weeks and I need to loose 10 pounds as well. At this point, I just want the dress to fit. So please bring on the south beach!!!

I think to lose in a couple of weeks is to reduce your carb and sugar intake.... excercise in the morning.. this will get your metabolism going.
 I was just told this yesterday... I haven't started yet!!
