First Fitting Question
I tried to make an appointment for my first fitting for June and they lady said no way, too early. My wedding is 10/1. Then I said okay July and she said still too early. She thinks I should make my fitting for August. Isn't that too close? When do you think is a good time to start alterations?

I am getting married August 6th and my first fitting is going to be June 27th. I would wait, because you never know if you are going to lose or gain any weight.

I think you will have plenty of time if you go in early august. if it makes you uneasy still, see if you can get an apt at the end of July...

My fitting is 8 weeks before the wedding.
Unless your dress needs major work your fittings can be pretty close to your wedding.

My wedding was 10/3 and I didnt start until mid August; you will be fine as long as the dress doesnt need major work!

I just had my first fitting last week and my wedding is July 29. Most bridal salons only begin to schedule fittings 2 months prior to the wedding. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time!

My wedding is 8/6 and my first fitting is June 21st. I wanted to wait as long as possible. Because I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to gain or lose weight.

Two months sounds about right. You could gain or lose weight between now and then, and you don't want to have to pay for more alterations.
