Monogram directions for the Do-It- Yourself Ladies
Since Shorty and I were asked alot of questions about creating monograms I thought I would post this in one thread so we can all notebook for future interest.
For free fonts go to: Dafont
when you download the files and save them on your computer, they will be in a zipped file, when you click on the folder (I'd save it on a desktop folder, so it's easier to find) click on the the folder (it will look like a folder but with a zipper on it) to the left you will see extract files, once you extract them you can drag them into your fonts folder, to do that you need to first minimize the open folder, go to start and look for control panel, once you open that click on fonts folder to open that, you can then re-open the unzipped files and drag them into the fonts folder, it should automatically install them, once they are installed you should be able to access them in MS Word, when you click on the fonts list the new fonts should be added to the list.

I also download the trial version of SnagIt, recommended to me by Kimberlybride, which allows you to save the monograms as jpegs.

The Dafont website isn't working for me. When I select Calligraphy fonts, nothing comes up. Am I doing something wrong?
