march 26 Giorgio's Wedding Review UPDATED (LINK TO 12TH NIGHT PICS)

Our day was absolutely amazing, A big thanks to all our wonderful vendors and to all my friends on LIweddings, here goes....

Gorgeous faces (hair and makeup) Sarah and Jillian : They both get an A+. They were great. They got to my house early and smiling. My hair came out exactly the way I wanted it and it looked beautiful. I didn’t have to fix it once all night. My tiara and everything stayed put (even with all my crazy dancing J and jumping around) The only thing I had to do was apply more lipstick (after kissingJ eating and drinking) my makeup looked awesome and stayed on my face I had a mother daughter dance, my mom was wearing a champagne colored dress, I put my head on her shoulder and my makeup stayed on my face no transferJ!! They even helped me button up the back of my dress b/c we were all having a hard time ( we all had our nails done so it was very hard to do) They were just great!!!

Macy’s Bridal: (Smithhaven mall) A+. All the girls there are really nice and my seamstress was so sweet. My dress was there, steamed and ready to go on time. They were very helpful through out the entire process. I had a lot of changes in my wedding party through out the whole process. They were very understanding and helped out the best they could. All the girls dresses were all hemmed perfectly as well and they all came out great!!!!

Rogers Tuxedos: (Centereach) A+. Everyone was nice and helpful. All the tuxes and shoes were there dry cleaned and ready to go on time, and all the right sizesJ Everyone was very friendly.

La comb hair salon in rocky point: A+. They were life savers for me. I had dyed my hair black and needed some serious help. I went down to the salon expecting them to tell me that I was going to have to strip my hair, which I really did not want to do at all. When I got there everyone seemed very friendly, they made me feel comfortable because I am not used to having my hair professionally done but I loved itJ. I brought them a pic of what I wanted my hair to look like and they made the color exactly. I was very grateful because they didn’t have to strip my hair, they were so completely honest with what I should do. I left with a beautiful dark brown hair with caramel highlights I loved it. They explained that I didn’t have to strip my hair and they did a great job. I had also brought a pic of the hair cut I wanted and the girl asked me first how I was doing my hair for the wedding, which I was impressed about because if she would’ve just cut my hair then it wouldn’t have stayed in the up do. All it takes is that little extra step to impress someone, to make them feel like they care about you. I appreciate their honesty with me , they told me to trust them b/c I was so nervous but I did and it worked out perfectly. They kept my best interests in mind and I appreciate that. (this was my first time there and it wont be my last).

The nail forum in Selden: A+. They were great. The place had their grand opening that week. The staff was very friendly. I had acrylic nails done and my first pedicure (which I didn’t think I would like but I loved it and I am actually making an appointment there for another one). They did a fabulous job on my nails which stayed on for 4 weeks and I had to pull them off. They looked great. They did a fabulous job. My toes looked so cute they were pink with white and silver whisps on the big toe. They also did my MOH nails, my mothers nails (she has since had her nails done there againJ), and one of my BM’s nails. Their dresses were ice blue so my MOH had her toes painted baby blue with white and silver whisps, and my BM had French manicure on both hands and feet. It was a lot of fun. They did a great job.

Rolling pin bakery: A+. David was so genuinely nice. He was honest and sweet. He helped us decide what would look good. The cake was amazing, it was beautiful. The cake was 4 tiers with whipped cream icing and hearts all over it. 2 tiers were marble cake with raspberry jam and 2 tiers were cannoli and vanilla cake. They were alternated. The cake was so good. It was beautiful and deliciousJ. If you are getting your cake from them then you have nothing to worry about it is just fabulous. The other cool thing they do is have you fill out a post card and on your one year anniversary they mail it to you for a free fresh cakeJ they also give you the cake topper. The cake was just breath taking, exactly what I had in mind. They were just great!!!

Sir Oliver Limo: A+. They were so awesome. We changed our locations like a million times and they just couldn’t have been friendlier about it. Then we changed the kinds of limos we wanted and the times we needed to be picked up. They were very understanding the whole time. The driver was so friendly, every one loved him. He picked the guys up first in the hummer and then came to get us girls. He was a complete gentleman. On the way to the hall, and before the ceremony) we had to make a pit stop for a bathroom break (boys and 3 hours of liquor LOL) Well one of my girls fell out of the limo into the mud trying to let the guys out. She immediately started crying b/c she was covered in mud and I had made a big deal about them keeping their ice blue dresses clean and making sure they get dressed at my moms with me. Well the limo driver gave her a hug and helped her up. He had baby wipes in the limo and he helped us clean her all up, you couldn’t even tell that she had fallen in the mud, except for the scrape on her shoulder. He really saved the dayJ . He did a Great job!! He also did a great job later when he came to pick us up at the end of the night, he helped us pack all our belongings from the hall into the limo. He was just so courteous, friendly and helpful. He was just on top of everything. I was very impressed by the service. We also had a separate limo pick up our parents and they said their driver was fabulous also.

THE LITTLE FLOWERSHOP IN LINDENHURST AND MY AUNT JANE: A+++++
They are truely lifesavers. My aunt was going to do all the flowers for us, which are silk, but my grandmother passed away in january and she wasnt very able to concentrate. The little flower shop stepped up to the plate, took all the flowers we had purchased and made those beautiful arrangements. They also added some flowers for us. We didnt even get to see them before the day and they were exactly what i would've wanted (my mom and aunt saw them beforehand) my bouquet flowers, all the boutineers and, the corsages are real. My aunt put together all my bridas maids flowers and the MOH flowers. i am so impressed with how beautiful everything came out. The little flowershop took care of putting all the flowers out at giorgios that day and also my arch. They were too good to be true. They all did a great job.

Tommy’s Tunes:
Gene A+: He is their singer. We had him sing during dinner. He was fabulous and his voice was amazing. The guests are still raving about him!! He came out before dinner and left soon after dinner. He did a great job.
Frankie was our mc we give him an A: They were great except for one detail. I asked that they please not play the cha cha slide b/c I hate that song and as corny as it sounds I love the electric slide. He played the first verse and then all of a sudden it turned into the cha cha slide, I was sadL. However everything else was great, he had everyone dancing and having a great time. They played all the other kind of music we wanted and they were very upbeat and out going. Our requested songs were handled perfectly . They did a great job with our ceremony music. Also my cousin sang my mother daughter dance song, they helped her set it up so that all ran very smoothly. My dad also sang his father daughter song and had it put on a cd for us, they did a good job playing that. We had a lot of fun with all the props too (leis, sunglasses, hats etc…) They did an overall great job we had the room moving all night. They were greatJ

Twelfth night A++: We had Dominick and Gabe they were fantastic!!
Dominick came to my house and took all these awesome shots, we loved him. We got the pics back and I am absolutely in love with them. They didn’t miss a beat. Dom did posed and photojournalistic shots. His happy go lucky attitude kept me calm and collected. He has a great sense of humor and he also knows how to get the perfect shots. We had a very large bridal party 18 people all together including me and hubby. They were just so patient and handled it all so well, we went to the arboretum and it was a little cold, some of the girls were complaining but they stayed up beat and got all the great shots. They even got a candid of all the girls wearing the guys jackets. They were just amazing!!
Gabe went to the guys house first, they loved him. He walked into the house snapping the camera and was very friendly. He did posed and photojournalistic shots as well. He was really good. He stayed after the ceremony and Dom left ( that’s the package we gotJ Gabe stayed until after the cake cuttingJ) Gabe was great he took tons of pics and we didn’t even realize he was taking them. He got all the great shots. The best thing was I never had to ask them to take certain pics they just did and they came out amazingJ . Their overall attitudes were amazing, they were on top of their game and they did an awesome job. I couldn’t be happier!!

Mittermax: A+. Travis is a lifesaver. We decided at the last min to get a video and he was more than accommodating. He met us at the arboretum for the first time, he was already there when we got there (gotta love the punctuality) He filmed from that moment to the end of the cake cutting. He was friendly and we never felt like his camera was in our face. He was very unobtrusive but filmed the whole thing, for all the great moments he was right there. He is a friend of Dominick’s and was recommended by him. Another great job. I am so glad we decided to get himJ !

Giorgio’s: A++
Words cant really describe what a gorgeous place this is and what a fabulous staff they have, but I will certainly try to give you an idea. Everyone at Giorgio’s is fantastic and the hall was just breathtaking, makes your eyes tear just looking at it. They took all the flowers from my bridesmaids and laid them out in front of our dais table, they looked amazing, just very pretty. The food was amazing, I haven’t had food that good (awesome job to the chef(s)). Hubby and I were offered a family style platter that had all the dinner choices on it so we could taste them all, complete with seconds (everyone was offered seconds) the meal was elegant and delicious, the layout was beautiful. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how fabulous the cocktail hour looked it was phenomenal. The wait staff was smiling, friendly, and very accommodating. It was magical and classy. There is a bridal and groom suite. We had cocktail food and beer upstairs. There were balconies in both rooms and a TV in the guys room. I didn’t have to worry about a thing they were right on top of everything, there was always someone there to help if I had a request, my drink and my guests drinks were filled back up with out asking. The service is remarkable. Guests are still telling me and my family how wonderful and impressive the whole night was, also how amazing and delicious the food was. Apparently the mini Viennese was magnificent. ( I was having such a great time I missed it :) ) Anyone getting married/ having a reception at Giorgio’s is very lucky, and has nothing to worry about. Giorgio’s is incredible.

Overall the day was so beautiful. I wish I could do it again :)

ETA: we got our video back from mittermax a while ago:) it was fantastic. Travis did such an amazing job. I highly recommend him. He got the video back to us so fast and picked up all the best moments and even some i missed i am just blown away still by how great everything came out.
for those of you who think that getting a video isnt important i want to let you know it is very important and travis was wonderful.

As you see, we are also using Giogios..and i LOVE to hear great things!! We are also using Sir Oliver......They are such sweet guys. I cant wait to see pics..keep updating!!

Here are our just some of our proofs from 12th Night, these are just some of the digital pics, we havent even scanned in the black and white pics yet! There are sooooooo many pics it's overwhelming, but we love them and 12th Night was absolutely fabulous. I can't say enough good things about them over there, the DVD they put together is fantastic and Dom and Gabe and everyone there was such fun to deal with, we can't wait to have another occasion where we can use them...enjoy!

i couldnt be happier with the way everything worked out it was just so amazing.

eta: the pic with the girls in the boys jackets was totaly photojournalistic, they didnt know we even took the pic.
what an unbelievable day!!!
my only advice to everyone is to try your best to relax and enjoy yourself no matter how nervous and stressed you are b/c it goes so fast you will want to remember it and have a great time. good luck to all the "to-be's" and congrats to all the married couples

you are all soo nice. I loved all my vendors. I cant believe i was so worried about everything going well and everything was as perfect as possible. i want to do it again. Not the money saving part but the wedding and party part
