Just booked my reception hall!!
AHHHH i Just booked my reception hall for my 5/07 wedding...its gonna cost me roughly 25k THE HALL ALONE!!! when i put my deposit i was like i hope i didnt exceed my credit card limit!!! Someone make me feel better about this whole $$ thing!!  hehehe I am so suffer from 2nd guessing myself! :)

Congrats!!!! The way I look at it is this - I am assuming you have approx 150-175 guests to book the CBC so even if it was less money pp overall it would still be a crazy amount of $$$. I spent more $$$ on the reception place and have been more budget conscious with some of the other vendors, because setting, food and alcohol were the most important thing for me. If you have a beautiful place with good food, I don't know how you could go wrong. I was really nervous signing the contract because for me, that is the largest investment me and my FH has ever made. Ultimately it is rationalizing the $$ for 1 day. I recently had my EP and was overwhelmed with how everyone important in our lives had come together to celebrate us. It truly is a speacial day and in the end it will be worth it!

Congrats! I nearly had a panic attack when we left a deposit, but the ladies are right, you have to go with your gut and allow yourself this one indulgence. You don't get married everyday and if you want to spend $$$ on something that means a lot to you, then its your business and your choice. Enjoy!
