For those of you that changed your name on your passport...
was your name changed/added on the back page of the passport? my maiden name is still where my picture is. but on the last page it says "this passport was amended and name changed to..." just want to make sure i have no problems when i travel

Same here. At first I thought they screwed up and sent me back my old one by accident but that I realized that since they didn't ask for another picture, that was the way they had to do it.

I work in HR and see Passports all the time. That's the way it is supposed to be. When you renew (take a new picture, etc. it'll be in your "new" name.

About how long did it take everyone to get theirs back? I put mine in the mail at the beginning of April and I am still waiting. Our one year anniversary trip is coming up. I don't know who to call to follow-up. I know they received it. I sent it certified and got the card back.

I think it took maybe 6 weeks to get it back? I don't really remember, but it wasn't a super long time....

it took me about 6 weeks to get my passport back....you can call 1-877-487-2778. there is a prompt on there where you can check the status of your passport.

I have to do this soon, change the name on my passport and renew it before Dec. 2005, so I guess I'll do both at the same time.
