What time to add to invite?
We thought the cocktail started at 6:30, but we were wrong and it is starting at 7:30. The place was nice enough to say that we can start the cocktail hour at 7:15. What should I put on the invites? 7:30 or 7:15 for the starting time?
THANKS!

Re: What time to add to invite?

Re: What time to add to invite?
Why don't you put 7:30 people always show up early anyway!

Re: What time to add to invite?
It depends on how your family is.. My finace's family is ALWAYS late.. we put that the ceremony started a half hour earlier on purpose.. I also agree that 7:15 looks awkward.

Re: What time to add to invite?
I think it would be better for people to know it's okay to come earlier, than lose the 15 minutes.

Re: What time to add to invite?
I think 7:15...I tend to think most people are late, so I would want them to know the real time. Plus, if you are doing a formal invite wouldn't you put something like "a quarter past seven o'clock in the evening" or something like that? I think it sounds just as nice as half past seven.

Re: What time to add to invite?
I don't think there's anything wrong with putting 7:15. It's fine.

Re: What time to add to invite?
Put whatever time your CH is going to start.
I'm not a big fan of putting the wrong time on an invite assuming people will show up either early or late...

Re: What time to add to invite?
I would put 7. My CH starts at 6 but I put 5:30 because if people come right from the church, I want them to know they can go right to the hall.
