Ideas for an a-typical Bachelorette party-a bit long, this SAT.

OK, let me preface this by saying I'm the last of my friends to marry we are all mid to late thirties all except two (including me) have kids.

My party is this Saturday because my MOH is coming into town. They want to know what I want to do. Found this out last night.
At 34 I have no desire to go to a club, drink or have a stripper. They don't want to do this either. We are also not into the late nights and want to keep it on LI.

Any ideas on where we can have a nice dinner in a loungey type setting (not too crowded, not too loud)?
The closer to Huntington the better.

That's all I want. With kids, schedules and all we barely have time to talk on the phone anymore. I just want to get together with girlfriends and relax.

What I really wanted was a spa day or go to one of those paint your own pottery places but my shower is during the day and BP that night.

TIA

blue honu on new york ave in huntington is amazing, great atmosphere... but on a sat. night it will be more crowded than usual especially around dinner time, hope it works out.

West End Cafe in Carle Place on Glen Cove Road is great. Need to make reservations though...
Milk & Sugar Cafe in Bayshore on Main Street. Very crowded on Saturday nights...recommend getting there around 8:30 pm. They have a jazz trio playing on Saturday nights. If it's more than 6 people they'll take reservations...but only more than 6.

Both places have very good food! Both have great atmosphere too. M&SC has couches and more of the lounge feeling you might be interested in.

Good luck! Have fun!!!

This is a little further from Huntington but there is a really nice Piano bar in Rockville Center called Baby Grand. We went there for a friend's birthday and had a good time.

There is a great restaurant in Centerport...The Mill Pond House. The food is excellent and the service is great. They have a deck that overlooks Centerport Harbor and you can probably sit outside and have some cocktails.
