Are you girls helping FH pick out his tux?
My FH thinks it's a bit of a double standard that the bride gets to pick out her dress without any of the groom's say, AND that she also gets a say in what the groom wears. So are you girls helping your guy pick his tux? I think most guys need our guidance in this matter of fashion. How about GM...are you helping to pick what they wear, or are you leaving all that up to FH?

I trust my FI to pick out his own tux and the GM as well. Altho I do like him to keep me informed just bc I'm a control freak about this wedding!  I can understand your FI's feelings, I think I would kinda feel the same way if roles were reversed!!

We were supposed to go tonight, but now it's next week. You need to go to make sure his tux matches your dress!!!
Mine is ivory, so if he wore a white vest, it wouldn't go....men need our help.
It's just that simple.

I am helping. If it were left up to him he would have the men's vests matching the ladies dresses and to me that looks a little too prom-ish. Not my taste at all.

I will definatley be there. Mostly b/c he says he's going to get a purple tux w/ pink elephants. And when I try to laugh it off, like it's a joke he says "You laugh, but I'm serious"

but seriously though, we're the one's with fashion sense! My FH is wearing a black suit and I was there to voice my opinion when he bought it

I am going with my FH to get his tux and once I get my BM's dresses Iwill go and pick out the GM tuxes as well. I know I am going to have a problem with them cuz they don't want the bow tie or the tie I told my FH they have to have one and I think the neck tie would be better cuz they can take it off later on plus I like the tie better

Well, I do agree that we have to pick out the vests if you are not going with a white, black or ivory one. FH and I originally decided on black vests for the guys, and he came home telling me he selected a different one. Okay, so I asked him to show me the color. WHY did he pick out SAGE green vests?? The BM dresses are turquoise!! So now I have to go change them back to black. His excuse, Oh that was the color I remembered!

We had huge fights over this. Not only did he think he should pick it out himself, but he actually said to me "I didn't tell you when the girls should get measured why should you tell me when the guys should". Mind you this was 6 weeks before the wedding! We did end up picking out the style together. However, he put it off so long that there was no time left and I had to go order them all myself.

Oh, I'm going with him. He doesn't actually mind...he just thought it was funny that the girl gets to pick the dress AND the tux. Just wanted to see what you girls were doing.
