Virgin Gorda and St. John

I am thinking about booking my honeymoon and going for a week to Virgin Gorda and a week to St. John. Anyone been there or going there on their honeymoon - feedback? Who is a good travel agent to use to book a honeymoon to these two islands?

i have not been to virgin gorda, but i have been to saint thomas and saint john and while saint john was much nicer, i thought the us virgin islands were not very nice, we had horrible services, and the beaches in florida are prettier. on the other, i've heard the british virgin islands are everything you want the us ones to be - and we took a day trip to jost van dyke and it was absolutely breathtaking! if i were you, i'd go there - or to the other british islands, but skip the us ones.

Just back from St. John on our honeymoon and LOVED it.....didnt like St. Thomas at all, had to fly in and out of there and spent about 3 hours there on a cloudy day but its way too commercialised and lots of cruise ships in the dock.

St. John was beautiful and the beaches are beautiful. Great snorkelling right off the beach which is great if you are not a very strong swimmer. Fab weather, great restaurants..very relaxing.

We rented a villa for a week so it was great as we had our own pool and hot tub. I can give you the details if you would like on the villa company.

We did do a waverunner tour one day and the tour guide said that the BVI were amazing so we will think about going there on our next trip. For me St. john was the ideal honeymoon spot ....wish I was there now... Good luck and if you need any more details forum me....
