Re: Repost: If it rained on your day....
i was bummed but thankfully i just thought about how it was out of my control. i mean.. what can you possibly do to stop mother nature from raining on your parade. you have to make due with what you have. and besides, if you let it really get to you it'll really show not only to your guests but also your photos how stressed you look and seem. you do not want that at all. if you're negative.. your bridal party may be bitten by that same bug.

Re: Repost: If it rained on your day....
It rained my entire day, but I was so caught up in everything that was going on, it didnt bother me. I also had a lot of hope that at some point it would clear up and we could take some pics outside, but it didnt.
Following the wedding, it has bothered me more only because there are some pics (outside the church, outside the limo, outside the NRC) that I will never have. I am also in the process of getting a refund from the Planting Fields because we couldnt go there to take pics.

Re: Repost: If it rained on your day....
Just a thought: If it rains on your day, why not take some outdoor pictures with umbrellas? I've seen some really cute pictures on this site of weddings where it was raining, but the couple took pics with umbrellas... For example, there was one pic where the bride's father was holding an umbrella for the bride as she got out of the limo (so cute!!) and some other pics like that...

Re: Repost: If it rained on your day....
it basically monsooned on my wedding day for most of the day. i knew it was going to rain and it killed me because the day before, it was 70 and sunny. but, because i knew it was going to rain on our day for about a week beforehand, it didn't bother me. you can't control the weather and you can't let it ruin your day. it ended up clearing up towards the early evening, so we were able to do some outdoor shots.
bottom line - if it rains, there is nothing you can do about it. make the best of it and enjoy yourself.
