How bummed were you by the rain and did it affect your day?

Re: If it rained on your day....
It poured on my wedding day. I prepared myself prior mentally just in case. I DID watch the weather 1 week prior to help the issue. My mom bought me 3 huge white umbrellas just in case. Thank god she did. It didn't effect us to much. The ceremony had to be inside and the pics to. BUT, I got the proofs back and they look amazing. Once everything was done and we were in the reception it didn't matter. I is a downer but try and remember this is the day you have planned for your entire life!! Then nothing will bring you down.

Re: If it rained on your day....
It rained on my wedding day so we had to have the ceremony inside. Honestly, it didn't matter one bit. Our wedding was beautiful and I didn't even notice the rain. I wouldn't let anything ruin your day!

Re: If it rained on your day....
Did it rain on your wedding day? I attended one in which it was cold and rainy. The bride and Groom made the most of it, so I suppose it wasn't that bad. Personally I hope it doesn't do that on mine. I am kind of superstitious and feel it would be a sign of bad luck, we will see

Re: If it rained on your day....
Ok so I know that you were gearing this question toward those who have already had their wedding.
I just want to chime in that if it rains, I will only care that everyone gets there and back safely. Other than that, for some strange reason, I have not been too concerned with having the gorgeous weather that most people dream of.
If the people in the photos look good, then I am sure I would not be too disappointed to have some of the outdoor scenes missing from the photos.

it's actually a sign of good luck - on another thread someone said that "a wet knot is the hardest to untie"
I was a rainy day bride and it never bothered me - we had huge umbrellas and it wasn't a big deal. We just couldn't take pics outside in a park or something... We didn't care and neither did our guests
