I have that sonic cleaner thing from Bed Bath and Beyond, but I don't feel like it works very well..I guess I can go to the jeweler, but I am looking for a quick solution. I want to clean them before the weekend.
Any home remedies out there?????

this sounds funny but I clean it with jewelery cleaner (with the little brush) and rinse it.
Then I place it on a fork and put it near the opening of my tea kettle and let it steam for like 10 minutes.
The I pour the boiling water over it.
Always comes like brand new

I think I heard good things about windex and warm water. I also heard that dishwashing detergent was good.
I think there was a thread on BHB about how to clean your e-ring.

The jeweler told me to just get a strainer and hold it in boiling water for a couple of minutes. The boiling water should get all the dirt off the stones and out of the crevices. She told me that the jewelry cleaners don't really do that much (I think she meant the solutions, not the ultrasonic ones.) Then, I just let it air dry. It looks pretty clean to me!

I soak them in the clear Windex...brush under the center stone...then rinse under hot water. I rub them dry with a soft paper towel.

That does sound good, I'm gonna try that this weekend! My rings really need to be cleaned!
I actually close the tea kettle spout over the fork and let the rings hang for a bit while I am getting ready. Because the spout is opened a little it doesn't whistle. And the steam really gets all around it.

Since Im younger my mom has always let her jewelry soak in rubbing alcohol and wiped it off with a wash cloth and all the dirt comes right off.
