calling all moms who rent a doppler....
Im running out of the gel, do I have to order more, or is there something else I could use??? TIA

oh no...no need to buy ultrasound gel...any water based lubricant (like K-Y jelly) will work just fine and will not damage the machine....I don't know many things for sure, but this I know!

it will work, but not as well as K-Y jelly (this conducts the sound waves better) - also the additives in the lotion can damage the head on the doppler.

Ive used both - regular lotion and doppler gel. Both worked fine. Also in the instructions you receive when I got my Babybeat it said that if you ran out of gel that regular lotion will work just as well as the sono gel.
