those who got invites from party city?????

which one did you go to and were you happy with it?? im in sayville and i didnt like the patchogue one..i went to centereach and had a big selection..anyone have any input on party city??? thanks

I was told that even though they have the invitations, that their staff is not always equipped to help you with details. I'd look around and see if there is a local vendor that discounts. Many people who sell invitations often work from the home and have a bit more expertise.

If you find the manufacturer and invitation you like, find a vendor from the manufacturers website and see if they offer a discount. The person I am using suggests to look at books elsewhere, to see what you like, find it online, print it out and when you bring it to her, she arranges for a proof of each part of your invitation. Then the order is placed. I think she gives a 30-40% discount.

I got mine from Party City. They were suppose to be in with in 2 weeks and they were ready in 3 days!!!! I ordered them on Monday and they were ready on Thursday. They came out so nice, I love them. They are always discounted at 30% off and it is soo worth it. I went to Party City in North Babylon, they have a huge selection of books to look through and they were very helpful. I got mine from the Party City in Hicksville - they were great there! Helped w/the wording and everything. They were ready alot earlier than they said and they looked fantastic!!

I got mine from the one in Centereach. I really liked that they leave you alone until you make a decision. We got our invitations in less than 2 weeks and had no problems, plus they're 30% off ALL the time.

I got them at Party City in Long Island City. I liked that there selection wasn't huge and overwhelming.

I typed out all the wording, so there would be no confusion or misprints. The invites came in within days!

We even had to re-order because FH and FMIL changed the wording after the invites came in and they re-order came in even faster.

I used the one in Manhattan and had an issue with a spelling error (on their part)....They took care of the error and reordered them at no cost to me. I was about a week late sending them out because of the error though.
Definitely get a proof sent to you before they ship the invitations. The manager at the Manhattan location told me that it was not necessary...and they came in wrong.
