Best way to lose 10 lbs. in a month?

I want to lose the 10 lbs. I gained since my wedding before my 5 year college reunion June 9th. So I have 1 month! How to lose it? I've been going to the gym 4x a week for an hour a time, mixing cardio/weights, but the lbs. aren't falling off (I've also cut out excess sugar/snacks, soda...). Is it possible in a month? What diet should I try? Is Atkins the way to go? TIA!

Beth, how long have you been going to the gym 4x a week? Just trying to get an idea of why this isn't working for you.

Anyway, the best thing to do would be to increase the amount of time that you do cardio. Also, do cardio intervals. You can set any of the cardio machines to do interval training.

You can also increase the amount of weight that you're lifting. The heavier the weights, the more calories you burn.

Don't forget to eat the proper amount of calories too - this is really important! If you don't eat enough, you won't lose weight as fast.

Cut down on the amount of carbs that you eat at night. Make sure that you do eat some carbs though, especially after you workout. Your muscles need it for recovery.

Thanks so much! I've been going to the gym 4x a week for two months now....Maybe I am gaining muscle weight? My clothes don't feel so tight, but the scale weight hasn't changed.

You should definately have gained muscle after lifting weights for 2 months, so that could be why the scale hasn't budged but your clothes are a little looser.
So you're doing good, you just need to kick up the intensity and change your routine up a bit.
