Final Fitting was today..

And i dont like my dress. I dont like the way it fits and i just dont like anything about it anymore. I was having these fellings for a few months, but everyone was just telling me to relax. But now i am 6 1/2 weeks away and i really dont like it. And im the type of person, that if i dont feel comfortable with the way i look, then im not goign to enjoy myself.
i was thinking about trying to sell it and get and get another dress. Can i do that with such little time to spare?

Did you mention how you feel about the dress to the bridal shop? can they expedite another dress for you?

I've heard that David's can do that... and you can also buy off the rack there if you want to.

Can the seamstress add anything to the dress to make it more appealing to you?

i think you need to pinpoint what is is you are uncomfortable with...shape, fabric, style etc

otherwise you are very likely to have the same issues again

but i think its doable....probably shouldve done something when you first had these feelings but all is not ruined....you could even find something in the prom sections this time of year that is very wedding appropriate

If you are really considering a new dress, check Jessica McClintock, the dress take about two weeks to come in. They have a nice selection of wedding dresses.

i think you could get something off the rack, you'd have to search like a madwoman, but its possible. or ebay one...as far as selling yours, that might take some time--you never can tell. i've seen one listed over and over on ebay and other's get bought in an instant.

i know easier said than done, but try not to let it ruin your day if you do wear the dress--you are your own worst critic and EVERYONE will see a beautiful bride not a dress that you secretly don't dig.

sorry to hear that but i know what you mean, if i wasn't comfortable i wouldn't have a good time. figure out WHY you don't like it ... no one else is going to notice a thing, you're going to the most beautiful one there! but if it's the way it fits or hangs, see what the fitters can do. yea, last minute can be done, but you don't wanna stress yourself out even more.

Are you positive? The last two fittings I had before the wedding, I hated my dress. I couldn't remember why I had loved it so much and what I was thinking. I was going around the night before saying how I knew I was going to look stupid in the dress, but oh well. Then, I put it on the day of the wedding, with my hair and make up and everything, and I loved it all over again. It might just be nerves.
