A minor vent about people interested in your home for sale

So, we have our co-op on the market and one woman came out to see it and spent a good 1/2 hour-1 hour looking around and chatting with us about it. She came back the next day with her friend during our open house and still was very interested although, there is a small section of wood that is so slightly warped that I never even noticed it (And I've lived here 29 years)

So, she says she's still interested but is concerned about the floor area. I invite her to have a professional wood floor person come out and take a look and that there is also a crawl space underneath so they can see everything - top and bottom. They agree and she asks if her "friend who lives in the development" can come by and see it? I say ok since she's in Seaford, but also excourage her to have a professional look at it.

It's been about 3 weeks now... she is still interested - as she keeps telling my realtor - but neither she nor her "friend" or a pro have been buy to take a look. My realtor wants to try and appease her since it'll be a cash deal, but my attitude now is "sh!t or get off the pot!" Come and look at the dayum floor or leave me alone! lol

Is this a little rediculous or am I being impatient? Yes, I wanna sell and get outa LI, but I'm not giving the place away for nothing! lol

i would be annoyed as well. i would not wait on bended knee for her. keep showing the house and if another potential buyer comes along tell her to step up to the plate and make a decision or you are going to sell to someone else.

I'm with Skew. IMO, I see the whole transaction being riddled with issues from her based on how she is acting now.

That's one thing I won't do is "hold" the place for her. It's open for anyone to see or buy. Until I have a contract, it's up for grabs Thanks - I feel better now

She sounds exactly like a woman who wanted to buy my co-op. She messed me around so much, but thankfully I had another interested party.

The lady I dealt with had "credit Donald Trump would be envious of" yet she didn't want to the co-op board to check out her finances She was a real nut.

I would push your realtor to get other people in there and interested. Like you say, until the contract is signed, it's available.

I had 3 buyers fall through on the sale of my co-op. The good thing was, each time a sale fell through I brought the price up a bit and wound up selling at 20K higher than originally!!

So maybe this is a good thing...

Wow! I already feel like we are asking too much, but compared to the others in the complex, mine has the most and the nicest upgrades..... one is selling for $10k less with no upgrades at all and another is $25k less, but it's on the second floor, in the middle of the building, overlooking the sewage treatment area and you have to walk a bit to get to your car.... I have a 1st floor corner with access right to your car from the back porch, plus an updated kitchen, bath, windows, doors, etc. I know there will be a buyer - I just have so little patience!
