"Review" of my E-Party Sat 4/23!!!**UPDATED-NOW WITH PICS!!!**
Reporting back from the E-Party this past Saturday. Things were GREAT!! I will have a few pictures as the week goes on and people get them to me. I was not able to get that many pics on my personal camera. And I wish I had put a disposable (just one) camera on each table like I was going to.
For those you don’t know, the party was at The Beach Club in Rockaway Park, from 7-11pm in the Atlantis Room. I only have 1 VERY minor complaint. My dad asked the bartender for a drink that called for Crème de Mint or Peppermint Schnapps and the bartender said she didn’t have either. I checked my contract Sunday and saw that both of those liquors are on the list of provided liquors. Oh well. Like I said, VERY minor. But it was a “complaint” because it was for my dad.
We used Entertainment 2000 for DJ. Ray, who is a friend of my brothers for about 10 years or so, owns the company. The DJ’s name was Ed and he had and asst, whose name I can’t remember. They did a GREAT job!! We did a mini introduction (just announced us, we walked in and sat down) followed by my dad giving a little speech, which he had to fight back tears for!! The DJ’s lead us through the Electric Slide, the Cha-Cha 1-2 Step, and a dance for Get Down Tonight. They played all the music we asked for and didn’t play the ones we didn’t want!! Their office is in Yonkers, and I did all correspondence via email, phone and mail. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.
The flowers were from Farm Direct (will hopefully have pics this week). I had ordered 200 Vandella roses, delivered via Fed Ex on Friday morning; total cost was $149.95, including shipping. I put them in buckets overnight, and then brought them down to The Beach Club, where FH and Step-dad cut and put them in the vases for centerpieces. The vases were from Target, bought them back in September placed on top of a mirror bought at Frank’s while they were going out of business. On each side of the vase was a mini-galvanized bucket filled with sand and a tealight candle. Buckets were from Wal Mart and tealights from Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Overall, things were great. I learned a lot. Like some of the little details that I notice, not everyone else will. For example, there were to be 3 mini buckets on each table, there were only 2. And I forgot my jewelry at home. I had purchased a beautiful necklace at Tri-County, and forgot the darn thing at home! Oh, I was running late, therefore got dressed and did make-up at The Beach Club walking into the party 10 min late. I was fashionably late to my own party!
I will have a couple pics tonight when I get home, and hopefully more pics later in the week!!
If you have any questions on anything, feel free to FM!!
-Jill

Yeay Jill! You do look great...love your hair! And of course, the kitty pics are so cute. So glad you had a great e-party. I am sorry about the misshap with the drink (hate when stuff like that happens) but it's all a learning experience.
Congrats!
