Which cruise lines are good? We are first-timers...
DH and I want to take a cruise this summer. I know we are nuts for wanting to go during hurricane season, but we figured what the hell.
Can anyone give me some pointers? Is food included in the cost? Thanks.

Our first crusie was our Honeymoon (1 month ago)
we did princess. we loved it. i wouldn't of done anything else.
pointers - a little bit more but get a balcony room. they are awesome. food is included.. only thing you have to do is tip and pay for achohol. if you plan on doing tours when you get to the island, book them asap. we found out the hard way that once you wait, you can't do the tour you want.
fm for any personal questions.

We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Western Caribbean - awesome ship, awesome service and an awesome time!!! Young people, food was included (not drinks), shows, gambling, etc. I think the cruise was Enchantment of the Seas.

Re: Which cruise lines are good? We are first-timers...
Carnival cruise line tends to attract a younger crowd. The entertainment is better but the food is not as great as other cruise lines (not saying it's bad but it's just not what they're known for) I went on Celebrity cruise lines where the food was excellent but the entertainment kind of lagged. DH and I are actually going on the Disney Cruise line in September (we are crazy too going in hurricane season). We went on a 3 day Disney cruise as part of our honeymoon and had such a blast we are going for a 7 day one. If you are a Disney lover I highly recommend the Disney cruise, the ships are immaculate, food is great, their shows are broadway quality and don't worry about there being a lot of kids either they go out of there way to keep the adults entertained too!

we went on the for our HM.. it was Perfect! the food was amazing, customer service left nothing to be desired, and i like the 'freestyle' cruising, so you didnt have to follow any kind of schedule

Re: Which cruise lines are good? We are first-timers...
I have been on-
Disney- the best shows, a great trip and a lot of fun but I like casinos and disney ships don't have them.
Carnival- from Long Beach, ca. Also a lot of fun. Food was great.
Norwegian Dawn- also a lot of fun- great food- I loved it becasue it was freestyle everything- you could eat when you wanted and did not have to sit with strangers. I also loved that it left from NY.

I've done Disney, Carnival and Princess. I loved Disney and Princess the best. People say that Princess was an older crowd and when we went, there were plenty of younger people, including honeymooners.
