just had my friends shower :-)
i'm matron of honor ( cause i'll be married before her)... it was nice. a really " back to basics" kind of shower... it was at her neighbors house- which was nice, her neighbor took care of all the food- she made different kinds of dips, and a couple kinds of chicken salads.. .and of course we got a cake 
we played bridal bingo- and that was it for games because we wanted to kinda move things along cause a lot of people had come about 2 hours
i did the favors- they were mini terra cotta pots with purple impatiens in them ( my parents own a garden center) and i put tags that said " growing in love... heather's bridal shower April 23, 2005"
there were about 30 people there and she got lots of nice stuff
all in all it was a fun day and i'm glad all the set up and clean up is over now i know why so many showers are in restaurants now

My family prefers "house" parties too, they are more intimate. I'm in the midst of planning my sister's shower. It will be at my Mom's house, so we'll have to do all the set up, cooking and cleanup. That's OK - we love it!

that's what my shower is going to be like! i love ones like that! i just think that they're so much more personal.

I love house showers too!! Thats what mine will be like...It is definitely more personal and there is no time limit...My family has always entertained at our house so I think thats why I love house parties so much!!!
