Caneel Bay
Hi
Has anyone been to Caneel Bay or know anything about
it? My FH and I are really interested in going there for our
honeymoon and we wanted to know if you girls have any
input/advice/info. on it. It looks gorgeous but just $$$.

HI there....We are going to Little Dix Bay, Caneel Bay's sister resort. It is a little pricey but we are going off season and are splurging and only spending a week there. Caneel Bay looks amazing as well...we considered both but Little Dix actually turned out to be cheaper and more remote. Our travel agent (down here in VA or I'd send you the info!) highly recommended both.

My parents went a few years ago and said it was the best vacation they ever had. It looks amazing. I did consider it for the honeymoon, but read a few mixed reviews on tripadvisor, and really don't want to spend 7k on the room alone! Plus, food and flights are not super cheap the the USVI. If you hve the moolah, it's supposed to be like paradise.

Two years ago my parents took my sister, brother-in-law, fh and myself to St. John. We rented a 4 bedroom 4 bath villa and it was a lot less money. Look into renting a small villa. It would probably be cheaper and you would have more privacy. St. John is a wonderful island...so beautiful and while it is expensive there are ways to save money. I work with your FH, he mentioned it to me today. Caneel Bay looks like a really nice place. I am still trying to figure out where I am going, I am making myself crazy.

My sister went to Caneel and Little Dix -and has nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about it. Besides the $$$, it is awesome!
My FH and I decided we wanted to go to St. John and be able to explore the USVI. We are getting a Villa at the Westin St. John - not as "upscale" as the others, however, it is still beautiful. And, since we saved a little money on the room, we can afford to stay on our honeymoon a little longer (11 days/10 nights).
