What are you all doing for Guest Books?
FH and I aren't even sure we want to have one since people always seemed rushed to come up with something witty to say Any good ideas or pictures of cool guest books? We thought about doing the Polaroid thing, but how exactly doest that work?

Re: What are you all doing for Guest Books?
Our wedding coordinator will take pictures of our guests during the cocktail hour & place the pictures in the guestbook. Then she'll encourage/remind our guests to sign the guestbook near their picture. You could ask a friend/family member to do the same thing.

Re: What are you all doing for Guest Books?
I decided to buy a scrap book from weddingchannel.com, which I plan to have my mom write something witty about signing our book of memories or something like that. I figure, not everyone signs the guest book and there is usually not enough room to really write anything special, but with the scrap book, the first few pages can be for signing and the rest I can add my invitation, pictures from the cameras on the table, the personalized ribbon, and any other momento from the day, engagement, first year of marriage, etc. What do you girls think?

Re: What are you all doing for Guest Books?
I think I am going to buy a bunch of postcards and address them to us, and have people write their wishes on them...then have someone mail them after the wedding, and when we get home from our HM, we have mail. Then I'll probably put them all in a scrapbook.

I bought a frame and signature matte from Target. It is a huge frame - it has three spots for pictures and then the rest for signing and good wishes.

Thats an awesome idea! FH actually thought it would be cute if we decorated a black marble notebook and used it as our sign in book since we are both teachers. (or will be when this grad school thing is over...) I think thats kind of sweet

I LOVE that idea for you guys, it's perfect....Kiddo, in sticking with our "golf" theme, I'm going to try and get postcards from a bunch of different golf courses....we'll see.

Re: What are you all doing for Guest Books?
I love this idea though I don't know if I'll have the will power to pull it off...
Take envelopes and write a number from 1 to 50 on the corner or somewhere on the envelope. Have the guests write wishes and stuff into the envelope. Open the envelopes on the corresponding anniversary as marked on the envelope.
Knowing me I'd open them before the 1st one came along but I love the idea of looking back at what people wrote...

Re: What are you all doing for Guest Books?
We are doing a platter. There will be a B&W sketch of a bride and groom in the middle with our names and dates and then people can sign around it. I figure I can display it somewhere after the wedding and that way it won't sit in a box in the attic.
I got it on the Internet at sayanythingceramics.com.

We are having one of engagement pictures framed with a matte for everyone to sign. But I am also thinking about doing the Polaroid guest book too - or maybe I'll do that at my shower instead. Not sure yet.

Last wedding we were at, they passed the guest book around once people were seated for dinner, which was nice because then you have time to think of something to write.

Re: What are you all doing for Guest Books?
We had a platter for the RD and just our parents and bridal party signed it, it's on my kitchen wall now. We skipped it for the reception. Not to sound rude, but we figured after the second "Best wishes" that we wouldn't even care to read it.
